Does women's educational advantage mean a more egalitarian distribution of gender roles? Evidence from dual-earner couples in Spain

In most Western countries, there is clear evidence of a reduction and even reversal the gender gap in education. However, are doubts about effect this on family life its impact distribution roles within couples. Using data from Spanish time use survey 2009–10, paper explores whether improved education women translating to better occupations higher incomes it related more egalitarian roles. The greater human capital that developing as result their being wasted because not reflected positions terms occupational class income. barriers ‘doing gender’ also prevent fully division roles, only advantaged couples with relatively time.
